Lake is determined to present his music in a seriously pleasurable way.

His lyrical phrases are the result of his love of words and passion to challenge listeners to think critically about the world around them.

A graduate from Ryerson University, Lake found the courage to start his singer songwriter career after spending 20 years in mechanical engineering and over two decades peddling records and musically inspired fashion.

Lake’s call to music started when he self-taught himself to play the harmonica when he was eight and his burning desire to create music has been simmering ever since.

If you have to define his style then art rock will not be far off, though he is comfortable in any genre, influenced by many, including the greats of country, pop, rock and reggae, like Jim Reeves, Leonard Cohen, David Byrne, Peter Gabriel, Roger Waters, and Jimmy Cliff.
